Introducing The Steady Starter Program
Try CGM & Connected care for 5-weeks, launching in California & Washington
Diabetes can be overwhelming. Diabetes care shouldn’t be. We’re making it easier to experience the magic of Steady by introducing a 5 week starter program that’ll help you take control of your diabetes.
Since we launched Steady in 2019, we’ve seen how our patients’ lives are improved by starting with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and using that data to receive the personalized treatment from our care team.
Our new course combines the powerful insights of a CGM with real-time coaching to help you achieve meaningful goals.
We’ve heard from our members that they’re interested in doing a trial with a CGM and the Steady care team before signing up for ongoing care. This 5 week program offers all the benefits of Steady — care connected to your CGM data — for a simple $50 fee. We’re thinking of this like “diabetes care in a box” — straightforward, powerful and accessible.
- Stressed because your levels are high? Message your care team in our app
- Need a CGM? Our doctors will set you up and ship it to your house
- Want advice for a good breakfast routine? We’ll provide recommendations
Let’s say you are newly diagnosed with Type II diabetes and you’ve never used a CGM before. You’re interested in lowering your A1c, tired of finger pricks, and prefer to make changes with diet and exercise rather than medication. What can you expect from joining Steady’s 5 week program?
How our program works
The first week, we’ll get you set up with a CGM, shipped straight to your house. Our doctors will give you a prescription for either a Freestyle Libre or Dexcom G6 Pro, we’ll work with your insurance, and get the device delivered.
You’ll meet our Certified Diabetes Educator, Aimee, over video. She’ll show you how to get your CGM up and running.
At the start of the program, set your goals for the 5 weeks. Aimee will help you set a meaningful, but achievable goal for your time in range or A1c.
Then it’s time to give your CGM a try. You’ll be able to see your blood sugar in real time on your phone, updated every 5 minutes. The initial tracking period measures how your body reacts to food and lifestyle.

After tracking, you’ll get your first personalized insights report. This in-depth report explaining how diabetes is affecting you and where you need to improve to reach your goals. Maybe we should try swapping corn tortillas rather than flour tortillas at that taco shop?

Then, at the end of 5 weeks, you’ll use a CGM for another 7–10 days so we can measure your progress towards your goal and recommend areas of improvement. It’s time for a celebration and you’re taking control of managing your diabetes. You’ll wrap up the program with a 20 minute CGM interpretation with our Endocrinologist where they talk you through your results and suggest next steps.

We’re very excited to be introducing this program and helping more people manage their diabetes effectively. I believe that CGM and connected care is a powerful combination and we’re thrilled to be able to expand access to more people. If you’d like to join the new Steady 5 week program, get started here.
One more thing, from today Steady is also available in WA
The most energizing piece of working on Steady is all the people reaching out from across the US wondering when we are coming to their state. Therefore I’m extra excited to announce that we’re, starting today, live in our second state: Washington. To deliver incredible diabetes care throughout the state we’ve partnered with Dr. Sushma Reddy who’s an endocrinologist with over 30 years of experience.

I’m proud of the work of the passionate and motivated team at Steady for making our new starter program possible, and I can’t wait to hear how it might help individuals like you. As always, please share any feedback directly with me at henrik@steady.health.
